COVID-19 Quick Response Community Grants

 We are offering a second round of the COVID–19 Community Quick Response Grants to help our community adapt to, and recover from the changes caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

There is a total grant pool of $159,000 and groups can secure up to $2000 to safely reactivate their venues and programs/


The grant has two categories and our aim is to help eligible community organisations activate community spaces and deliver new or existing community programs that comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

  1. Clever and Creative Community Projects
    New community projects, programs and activities that will help the Greater Geelong community recover from COVID-19 restrictions in a way that is consistent with our community-led clever and creative vision.  Maximum funding per application is for amounts of up to $2,000.
  2. COVID-19 Operating Expenses
    Operating expenses that help community groups deliver their existing services and programs in line with COVID-19 restrictions.
    Maximum funding per application is for amounts of up to $2,000.

Important: Operating Expenses grants are for the cost of compliance with the latest advice from Commonwealth and State authorities such as the purchase of face masks, hand sanitiser or signage. These grants are not for general costs such as utilities, room hire or other core expenses associated with the operation of the applicant organisation..
